About me

Hello — I'm Falak.

I am a psychotherapist and human development professional with a Master’s degree in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard University, a Certification in Humanistic Counselling, a Diploma in Psychotherapy from CPCAB, UK, and recent postgraduate coursework in Couples Counselling.

My work is primarily informed by psychodynamic and Internal Family Systems (IFS) approaches, alongside principles from cognitive-behavioural and somatic frameworks. I take an integrative approach, tailoring therapy to the individual rather than working from a single modality.

At the heart of my work is the belief that understanding ourselves is often the beginning of meaningful change. I see therapy as a space to explore the patterns, experiences, relationships, and parts of ourselves that shape the way we move through the world - not with judgment, but with curiosity and compassion.

I don’t believe people are broken. I believe that even the parts of our lives that feel stuck, painful, or difficult to understand can be explored, repaired, and transformed.

My approach

Three things I hold to.

01

Client-centered

You set the pace and the agenda - my role is to listen deeply and guide, never to judge.

02

Psychodynamic

I draw on psychodynamic approaches to understand how your past experiences, relationships, emotions and unconscious patterns shape the way you think, feel and relate in the present.

03

Bodywork

I try to incorporate somatic approaches to understand the connection between the mind and body, using awareness of bodily sensations, emotions, and physiological responses to support greater regulation, insight, and healing.

Integrative Psychotherapy

I draw primarily from psychodynamic and Internal Family Systems approaches, while incorporating cognitive-behavioural and somatic principles where appropriate. I tailor the work to each individual, recognising that no single therapeutic approach can capture the complexity of a whole person.
